The Savannah Songwriters Series stages two showcases each month, the 2nd Sunday at the American Legion on Tybee Island and the 4th sunday at the Johnny Harris restaurant in Savannah.

The format is  four songwriters in-the-round, each playing four originals songs.  It’s all acoustic.

All shows  begin promptly at 6. They usually end around 7:30.  All are free and all-ages.

If you are interested in playing, we encourage you to attend one of the shows. There’s a booking form on this website, but we really encourage you to come to at least one of the shows.  It does not pay, though you are welcome to sell CDs and your other merchandise.

The Savannah Songwriters Series was created by social media manager, Tami Ross, and Southern songwriters, Stan Ray and Jefferson Ross.  Local songwriters Thomas Oliver and Roy Swindelle are now primarily responsible for booking the songwriters and  organizing the showcases.

SSS was created to highlight original music, with an emphasis on local songwriters, though we occasionally book touring songwriters.
